The Kvetch (The Complainer)

This romantic comedy is about two people, JEREMY STEIN and PAMELA CARTER, searching for that elusive “right person”.
Jeremy has always been a complainer. Why, because “there’s lots to complain about”. His best friend STEVE, known as the “humpmeister”, is repeatedly driving home the point that constant sex with a willing partner would remove all of Jeremy’s “kvetching” and turn his life around. But this simple solution doesn’t sit well. So Jeremy proceeds to pursue the question, “was it nature or nurture” that caused his kvetching? He puts the pieces of the puzzle together when he uncovers the history behind his odd grandparents, while at the same time watching his parents, THELMA and STANLEY, relate to one another. Although he has gained considerable insight, his kvetching and frustration continue to mount until he’s charged with common assault and is ordered by the court to attend therapy.
Pamela has forever been brutally honest and a no nonsense woman, having trouble connecting with men. She’s repeatedly tried to build relationships but has only found guys interested in work, or in sex, or in work while having sex. In an attempt to find “Mr. Right”, she continues to meet liars and perverts until her anger gets the better of her and she is also charged with assault and discharged on the condition that she attend therapy. Our two wanderers meet one another for the first time, while in the waiting room of their Viennese psychologist, the sneezing DR. CHAI KUCK.
As their quest continues for that “right“ match, their adventures take them from speed dating, to television dating, to renting “pooches”. Jeremy ends up with SANDY BLAKE a sex maniac who “loves it” and according to Steve is the perfect answer to Jeremy’s angst, and Pamela ends up with MIKE MONEY, the wealthy man with a boat, plane and limo, whom her mother and best friend JENNIFER declare will eliminate her woes. But do these partners fit the bill or will the romantic sparks truly fly when our hero and heroine finally do connect?
This story will not only tickle our funny bones but will also touch our hearts, with an ending that will surprise.
