

Sam K - the doctor
Sam Klarreich, Ph.D., has a distinguished career as a psychologist, author, advisor and senior level consultant. Previous positions include chief psychologist at a major Toronto hospital, director of an employee assistance program for a multi-national oil company, vice-president for a national career consulting firm and managing director of a national human resources/management consulting firm. As well as receiving many awards and honors and being a popular international speaker and lecturer, he has written numerous professional papers, had timely articles in major newspapers and business magazines on health related topics and has 8 books to his credit. Dr. Klarreich trained with and was mentored by the world renowned New York psychologist, Dr. Albert Ellis, ranked as one of the most influential psychologists of the past century.

Sam K - the writer
Utilizing his knowledge and experience in psychology, he has crafted numerous controversial, topical and meaningful screenplays in a variety of genres, including dramatic thriller, supernatural thriller, horror, romantic comedy and action thriller. Some of these scripts were inspired by true stories.
His scripts have tackled such topics as Bi-Polar Disorder, the supernatural, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the paranormal, Parental Alienation Syndrome, False Memory Syndrome, homicide, behavior modification, patricide, devil worship and others. Many of his screenplays have been previously optioned with one recently produced out of Los Angeles, entitled Between the Trees.

Between the Trees has been accepted into the IFS Film Festival in Los Angeles with its world premiere at the Beverly Hills Music Hall. It has also been picked up for distribution.
Sam is in the unique position of being able to imbue his many screenplays with a compelling psychological element.
