What if your mother on her deathbed informed you that she killed your father, the one man in your life you revered? Then she makes a miraculous recovery and denies her previous admission. How would you feel? What would you do? To what lengths would you go to uncover the truth?
These and many more questions haunt PAULA JONES, who remembers a loving, protective and devoted “daddy”, CHARLIE, who would go to the ends of the earth to watch over her, and recalls an abusive, jealous, and vindictive mother, DONNA, who only wanted to bring harm to her. Paula must determine how to deal with her mother’s mixed messages about the death of her “daddy” whom Donna described as a lecherous, deceitful, abusive husband who had an unhealthy love for his daughter and was devoted to her more than his own wife. These colliding memories set the stage for a formidable relationship battle that can only bring harm to both mother and daughter.
This dramatic thriller propels Paula on a course covered with one disappointment after another in search of answers. In the process she meets JIMMY STARR who reminds her of Charlie, yet unknown to her is a psychopath. Blinded by her misguided love, she becomes entrapped while still struggling to comprehend her mother’s motives and what actually happened to her beloved “daddy”. Still avoiding the truth, Donna while trying to get close to her combative daughter, in turn finds a confessor, FATHER DUNCAN, and shares her darkest secrets about her tumultuous and turbulent relationship with Charlie. On the advice of her confessor, Donna must confront her fears and her damaged relationship with her implacable daughter. This bizarre tale snares the viewer in a web of mystery, violence and murder and sets the stage for an unpredictable and powerful ending.
